Firestone Walker Brewing Company was formed in 1996 in Santa Barbara County by Adam Firestone, great-great grandson of Harvey Firestone who started the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, and his brother-in-law David Walker.
The brewery started at the Firestone family vineyard in Los Olivos, California and later moved into the former SLO Brewing Co facility in Paso Robles. Renowned for their use of a patented Burton Union System, they have been churning out recipe after recipe of exceptional ales and sours ever since.
The membership of Pacific Gravity feels a special bond with the Firestone Walker crew, especially after our collaboration beer release (Carl’s recipe!), and we’re elated to have them on board as a Turbidium level sponsor for this competition.
If you haven’t made it to Firestone’s Propagator restaurant yet, you absolutely should go. The selection of Firestone Walker beer is exceptional and the food is deliciously well paired.
Thank you Firestone Walker!
